Porcupine Tree - The Incident [CD 1] (2009)
Porcupine Tree - The Incident [CD 2] (2009)
After releasing "Insurgentes", wich I've posted in March, and Bass Communion's live record "Chiaroscuro", Steven Wilson is back once more in the same year, this time with his Porcupine Tree fellow mates: Richard Barbieri, Colin Edwin an Gavin Harrison.
Another excellent PT album , although I must admit my predilection for its predecessor, "Fear of a Blank Planet".
Enjoy!

Hope you like it!

Robert Rich & B. Lustmord - Stalker (1995)
Some time ago I've posted Lustmord's collaboration with the Melvins - "Pigs of the Roman Empire".
Now I'm posting another great collaboration between him and the ambient composer Robert Rich.
Hope you like it!
"Stalker", by Robert Rich and B. Lustmord, is one of the darkest e-music CDs ever. The title refers to a film by Andre Tarkovsky, not, as many folks believe, to a stalker. It is "a guide to possible interpretations of ambivalent reality" where nothing is as it seems. Its purpose is to "illuminate...and decode this landscape of fractured density". And, while this is a very dark CD, it is also intelligent and structured. (Taken from AMG)

sToa - Porta VIII (1994)
sToa was formed in Germany in 1991 by Olaf Parusel and Conny Levrow.
Tooking influences from medieval and classical music, as well as from some 4AD bands such as Dead Can Dance ("Within the Realm of a Dying Sun" era), they've had 4 album releases to date.
These were sToa's first two albums and my favourite ones too.
Enjoy!

Collection d'Arnell-Andréa - Les Marronniers (1992)
Collection d'arnell-Andréa - Cirses des Champs (1996)
Here are some of my favourite records by this dark wave band formed in Gier, France, around the mid 80's.
P.S. - I just love "Cirses des Champs"!
The style of this French combo could almost be categorised as a form of chamber music in which they add droning bass, drum machine and the ethereal vocals of Chloé St Liphard to violins and cellos. (Taken from For the Record)

Love Is Colder Than Death - Mental Traveller (1992)
Love Is Colder Than Death - Inside the Bell (2004)
Here are the first two albums of LICTD, as well as a more recent one, recorded live in Leipzig in 2004.
This band was formed in Germany in 1990 and took its name from Rainer Fassbinder's classic movie "Liebe - ist kälter als der Tod".
The first LICTD material was released by Hyperium Records and their sound doesn't vary much from the one that was made by some of their label mates such as Stoa, Jack or Jive, Anchorage or Black Tape for a Blue Girl.
Enjoy!
