Far from containing their best efforts, "Under Triple Moons" shows the band's beginings and early evolution in its rawest form.

Opal - Happy Nightmare Baby (1987)
As promised, here's Opal's "Happy Nightmare Baby".
The group was formed by Kendra Smith (ex-Dream Syndicate) and David Roback (ex-Rain Parade) and this was the only full length record they've released.
When Kendra Smith left the band, David Roback was joined by Hope Sandoval and they became Mazzy Star.

Om - Conference of the Birds (2006)

Some time ago I've posted Om's first album and now I thought that it was time to upload their second effort "Conference of the Birds". It isn't as heavy as "Variations on a Theme", probably due to a lesser use of the distorded bass.
I don't know why, but the first chords on the album always bring me back to mind something of The Doors... (although, actually, it turns out to be The Doors meeting Black Sabbath!)

Conference of the Birds rocks terribly, terribly slowly and maniacally in a lazy, trance-inducing way; it will melt your inhibitions without the use of drugs or alcohol. (Taken from AMG)

Kinski - Alpine Static (2005)

Kinski are an energic rock band from Seattle and their sound is a mixture between Hawkwind, Sonic Youth and Acid Mothers Temple. This is one of their best efforts.

Edward Ka-Spel - Down in the City of Heartbreak & Needles Vol. 2 (1998)

This is Vol. 2 of the DITCOHAN compilation, a collection of songs containing released and unreleased solo material by this "guru" of the dark-cosmic poetry.
I will have in the future some more posts of him and of his band, The Legendary Pink Dots.

Om - Variations on a Theme (2004)

Om are a californian duo made by Al Cisneros (bass/vocals) and Chris Hakius (drums), two former members of the stoner/doom metal act Sleep.
As it happened with Sleep's discography, this Om first release was produced by Billy Anderson, who is best known for his work with groups like the Swans, Melvins, Red House Painters, Secret Chiefs 3 or Fantomas.
