Catherine Wheel - Ferment (1992)

"Ferment" was the awesome debut album by the british shoegazers Catherine Wheel.
Excellent record with great pop tunes such as "I Want to Touch You", "Flower to Hide", etc, etc, etc...
This is the 2010 reissue with 6 bonus tracks.
Don't miss it!

  3. Nice! I've been listening to this album for the past 14 years. Hurray for post-punk. The Shoegazer movement is the greatest. It's really one of the few redeeming qualities of the 90's era of music, yet few Americans can likely list two names from the genre. Other notable bands related to Shoegazer; Slowdive, Lush, Asobi Seksu, Blonde Redhead, Sonic Youth, Yo La Tango. Cheers.

  4. the MOB cover.,..'that's when I reach for my revolver'..... the MP3 sounds like it's glitched. it skips/stutters for me.

have you listened to dat? like...any issues with it on your end ; the file itself?

I'm not complaining. I already bought this reissue..but it's in storage, along with about 100,000 other CD's.

    love your site, BTW!

  5. Hello Mike!
Yes, I noticed that the specific track you're talking about is with a problem.
Some kind of annoying scratch sound.
Well, I must tell you it didn't bother me that much, because, with this reissue, I can have the same tracks on CD I had on the original LP and I guess that's good enough for me.

  6. Immense! ... one of the best albums I've heard in these last years, one of the top three of shoegaze, and in my opinion a top ten of the 90's as the "Nervermind" Nirvana, "Definitely Maybe" Oasis "I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One "by Yo la Tengo," Slanted and Enchanted "by Pavement," Loveless "by My Bloody Valentine, etc.. Too bad many do not know the tremendous quality that showed this group in their first two albums. However, this is the best. Thanks for your significant contribution.
Greetings (sorry not yet fluent in English)

  7. I think this is the only site that has the 2010 reissue of Ferment. Thanks. I needed the bonus songs, because links for those don't exist anywhere else either.
