Violet Indiana - Russian Doll (2004)

Violet Indiana is the name of the musical project wich gathered former Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie and former Mono (UK) singer Siobhan de Maré.
These are the three albums they've released to date: the two originals "Roulette"/"Russian Doll" and a collection of singles and EPS with three previously unreleased tracks called "Casino".
Hope you like it!

  1. Love these Violet Indiana albums mainly because of Siobhan de Maré who has a very sensuous voice with a vulnerable quality, which you don’t hear much in other singers. She sticks to love songs making them perfect torch songs for the 21st century. Robin Guthrie’s shimmery wall of sound complements her voice very nicely. Also like her earlier album as Mono, Formica Blues which I've got. Have you heard it? Hope she comes back soon with some new work.

  2. Hi anonymous!
    Thanks for leaving your comment.
I also have the Formica Blues album. I bought it when it was released around 1997. ;)

    Cheers!
